This 2014 BMW 328i contacted us looking to add a backup camera to the factory iDrive screen in the F30.
Removing the radio in the F30's requires removal of a large portion of the dash panels and wood trim on the dash.
After removing the dashboard trim, radio faceplate, and the radio itself, we began work on mounting the interface and routing all the wiring back towards the trunk.
Once all of the connections behind the factory screen was completed, and the wiring was back into the trunk, we began work on disassembling the trunk lid to access the release handle where we would be mounting our new camera.
After installing the camera, we preceded to test all of our components and put the car back together for a seamless factory appearance.
