This 2016 BMW X3 contacted us after he purchased a Bavsound Stage One speaker upgrade. These speakers drop right into the factory speaker locations and plug directly into the factory wiring for an OEM style upgrade.

The dash speaker is the first to be replaced, simply because the removal and replacement procedure is so straightforward. The speaker grill on the dash is lifted straight up and out, and then four Torx screws hold the speaker plate into the dash are removed. The new Bavsound mid drops right into the factory plate, and the new tweeter gets a small amount of adhesive the same way BMW mounts their tweeter.

Accessing the front door speakers requires removing a few select trim pieces before removing a few more Torx screws and finally releasing the remaining panel clips before removing the door card. We added a bit of sound deadener to the door and added the new Bavsound midbass to the door and then proceded to mount the tweeter to the door card!

For the rear speaker, it is mostly the same procedure that we had on the front doors, except the rear mid is mounted to a plastic bracket, and the door card has one less Torx screw.
