This 2016 Toyota Tundra contacted us after picking up a Pioneer AVH-W4400NEX with wireless Apple Carplay to replace his factory JBL system. He also wanted to add a front vision camera to assist with obstacle detection in the front of his truck.
This installation we started with wiring up the Maestro RR and the panel mounted USB/HDMI. We decided to install this HDMI/USB in the factory cigar lighter location and we added a factory USB retention cable from Maestro to keep the OEM USB functional since this Pioneer AVH-W4400NEX has two rear USB ports. Overall the Scosche dash kit was a great match for the factory paint and gives this upgrade a super factory appearance, with a ton more functionality!
Once we had the radio mounted in the dash we routed all the wiring out into the engine compartment for the new front-facing camera. We protected all of the wiring with expandable sleeve to add increased resistance to chaffing and also add that OEM look and feel!
