The Brandmotion kit we chose installs two radar sensors discreetly behind the Camry's rear bumper skin. This setup not only ensures a clean, factory finish but also provides fully waterproof harnesses. There is no need to worry about the elements or road conditions; these sensors are up for the challenge. The kit also includes a meticulously dressed and protected wiring loom that seamlessly runs forward to connect to the brain of the system.
Brainpower in the Dash
Routing the new wiring loom alongside the existing factory wiring, we embarked on finding the perfect home for the system's brain. Our search led us to a strategic spot right next to the fuse box in the dash. This choice ensures that the brain remains easily serviceable and in close proximity to all the signals required for the blind spot monitoring system to function flawlessly.
Visual Safety Cue
The final piece of the puzzle involved a bit of interior work. We carefully removed the A-pillars to mount indicators that would provide a visual representation of objects in the blind spots. These indicators are your daughter's visual guardians, ensuring she's aware of potential dangers before changing lanes or merging onto the highway.
