This Customer was overall not impressed with the stock Bose sound system in his 2006 Infiniti M45. Overall the system lacked quite a bit in total clarity and bass response, and the customer had determined that the whole system needs to be reworked.
He picked up a set of Kicker 40CSS654 Component Speakers for the front doors and a set of Kicker 40CS654 Coaxial Speakers for the rear doors. Also, to make sure we did not run into any issues with fitment he also purchased some Speaker Brackets so we could use the stock mounting hardware to affix the speaker to the door, and Boom Mat speaker baffles to assist in waterproofing the speaker in the door and help improve mid bass response!
We also wanted to some substantial upgrades to the sub-bass frequencies, so he picked up a Kicker 12" CompR Loaded Enclosure to make sure he had the output to satisfy his needs! It is a relatively large enclosure, but it certainly makes up for the size it takes up with its sheer output.
To get the most out of your speakers, you always want to pair them up with a quality amplifier that is producing as close to their rated RMS power as possible. Our customer decide he wanted to bypass the factory amp and paired his speaker selection with a Pioneer GM-D9605 Class D 5 Channel! This amp makes 75w RMS for the door speakers and 600w RMS for the woofer which makes it an excellent choice for his speaker selection.
Overall the system now has a much brighter high, deeper low-end performance, and a more believable stage!
