This 2005 Toyota Tundra contacted us looking to upgrade their sound and their connectivity.
This Tundra was equipt with the factory JBL Sound System, which adds a few degrees of complication to replacing the radio and upgrading the speakers.
We decided to run new speaker wires from behind the radio back to the factory amplifier so that we were not stuck with the bandwidth of the JBL Crossovers.
Once we got the new radio installed and setup, we tested all of the features, flattened the EQ, and prepared to start replacing the front door speakers.
The factory JBL speaker setup in this model year Tundra and Sequoia can present its own set of challenges as the factory speaker is both larger and shallower than most of its aftermarket counterparts.
In the end, we mounted the Polk Audio DB+'s in the factory location with the help of mounting bracket from Scosche.
