After picking up a Pioneer AVH-W4400NEX with wireless Apple Carplay to replace his factory JBL system, he also wanted to add a front vision camera.
We got him set up with some new component speakers from Rockford Fosgate, a touchscreen Apple Carplay Compatible radio from Pioneer, and a spare tire mount back up camera!
We removed the factory speakers and proceeded to mount the new speakers in their plastic adapter plates with some foam gasket tape to ensure the speakers make a good seal.
Unfortunately, the retainers on the OEM radio were damaged and bent outward.
This woofer is a great solution if you don't need a ton of performance and don't want to take up much space in your vehicle!
The customer provided a pair of Rockford Fosgate Power T1650-S for the front doors, Rockford Fosgate R165X3 for the rear doors, a Rockford Fosgate R400-4D to power the doors, and a Rockford Fosgate R500X1D to power two Rockford Fosgate P3SD2-8's in a box he built for the rear seats.
The included camera was a foot mount style and the mirror monitor clips on over the top of the factory mirror with some spring loaded rubber feet. Overall these are a very inexpensive solution that still gets the job done!
The radio replacement for this Tahoe was a Kenwood Excelon KDC-X302 which added Bluetooth, USB, and Aux to really modernize the driver experience!
