Elevating the Highs

As we dived into the details, it was time to tackle the high frequencies. We replaced the OEM dash speakers with new silk dome tweeters. These tweeters, carefully positioned even off-axis to reflect off the windshield, brought out the brilliance in high-frequency notes.

The Low-End Boost

No audio upgrade is complete without the low-end punch, and this Highlander was no exception. We decided to mount a KSC-PSW8 subwoofer under the driver's seat. Despite the tight fit due to the power seat motors, it worked like a charm. Under-seat subwoofers sometimes underwhelm, but this setup defied expectations. It was positioned close enough to the front doors, and the 7-inch midbass filled the gaps, creating a harmonious front stage.

Completing the Symphony

To ensure that every passenger enjoyed a great listening experience, we upgraded the rear doors with the Kenwood Excelon KFC-X174 speakers. Now, no matter where you sat in this Highlander, the sound was crystal clear and immersive.
