In our latest project, the client decided to update their driving experience by purchasing a Kenwood audio system through Crutchfield. While they took care of the disassembly, we stepped in to put it all together and seamlessly integrate it into their CR-V.
The Installation Process
Since the client handled the disassembly, we kicked off this project by jumping straight into the installation. From reassembling the climate controls to wiring for the Kenwood side, we take care of the essentials for a successful integration.
The meticulous process involves attention to detail, such as ensuring the amplified antenna input is correctly connected and preparing the Dash Kit for the single DIN setup.
While I build the kit and mount the radio, David handles the intricate work of soldering the harness, matching the Kenwood connector to the Honda connector. Teamwork is vital to achieving a seamless installation!

Final Assembly and Testing
With the kit built, radio mounted, and harness soldered, we tested everything. Our functional test confirms that the sound is evenly distributed across all four corners. It's the moment of truth, and we've got music!
After confirming that everything works like a charm, we proceed with the final assembly. Clips are secured, screws are tightened, and the climate controls slide back into place effortlessly. The result? A sleek and modern Kenwood system seamlessly integrated into the 2008 Honda CR-V.
