This customer contacted us after deciding she was not happy with the sound in her 2015 Nissan Altima! She was looking to completely rebuild the audio from the ground up but only had the budget to do speakers right now; we decided to add the Kenwood Excelon KFC-X694 6x9's to the rear and the Kenwood Excelon Reference XR-1700P to the front!
This install started with the rear of the vehicle and disassembly to get to the stock 6x9's! The KFC-X694's are a tremendous upgrade to the unimpressive Nissan speaker! We paired all of the speakers in the vehicle with FAST Rings to help funnel the acoustic energy into the cabin and prevent it from getting trapped in the panel!
The XR-1700P's presented a bit more of a challenge since we would need to find a home for the crossovers and also run some larger wiring into the doors. This was done to prevent requiring to remove the door panels at a later date since the customer plans on adding amplification that will require upgraded wiring!
Lastly, we removed the dash panel covering the new home for the tweeter and fabricated a mounting plate out of ABS to utilize the factory screw points!
