This customer reached out to us after deciding to replace all of the audio in his 2014 Subaru WRX! He already had installed a set of Alpine Type-S speakers in all four doors and a Kenwood Radio in the dash, but overall he was unimpressed with the performance!

We started this project by removing the Kenwood from the dash and soldering the new harness for the Pioneer MVH-2300NEX! Since we would be installing a JL Audio JX400/4D and a JX500/1D we took some time here to run the RCA cables down through the center console!

At this point, we unbolted the seats from the vehicle and began routing the rest of our wiring for the installation of the amplifiers, made a substantial ground connection, and mounted the amps!

The next step was to finish running the new speaker wire through the rubber door boots and work on getting the Alpine Type-S speakers uninstalled! We ended up installing a Sony XS-GS1621C component set in the front doors and a pair of Sony XS-GS1621's in the rear doors! The component set was a great fit for the doors of the WRX and the tweeter essentially dropped right into place!

Finally, we installed a beautiful subwoofer enclosure from a company called audio integrations which dropped right into the driver side wheel well! We decided to load this box with a JL Audio 10w3v3-2 which was a perfect fit for the Amplifier and the Enclosure! We finished this install by tuning the amplifiers with an SMD DD1 and some minor by ear adjustments!
