2007 Toyota Tacoma adds new speakers, two amplifiers, and a subwoofer!
This customer has a 2007 Toyota Tacoma and was looking to revamp his sound completely! He had an existing aftermarket Kenwood radio that would be the foundation for the project! We took the signal from this radio and ran that into his Alpine MRP-F240 for the door speakers, and his Jl Audio Jx500/1d for his new JL Audio 8W3V3-4 8" Subwoofer! In the front doors, we installed a set of JL Audio C2-650 to get the most out of the new Amplifier!
Once we got the door panel apart, we were able to start on the removal and replacement of the door speakers! The biggest challenge here is finding an appropriate home for the Crossover Network. You want to find a location that allows for secure mounting, clean wire runs, and also free from induced noise from other electronics! We decided on installing a threaded rivet to ensure the install was both serviceable and solidly mounted! Pairing these universal speaker components with some vehicle specific adapters allowed the new gear to drop right into the factory locations and ensures the best possible sound!
The JL Audio 8W3v3 fits right into this Tacoma subwoofer enclosure from Sound Off Audio. Moreover, it adds just enough bass to make you smile!
