2002 Ford Ranger gets a Bluetooth radio

We installed a Kenwood KMM-BT308U into this 2002 Ford Ranger! This digital media receiver from Kenwood has built-in Bluetooth, USB, and Auxillary inputs which makes it a fantastic upgrade to the original Ford sound system!

Here you can see the steps we use to correctly prepare a wiring harness for installation into a vehicle. First, we cut all of the wires from the harness to be a consistent length, strip back a small amount of the insulation, add a piece of heat shrink to each wire, and solder our connections! After we have soldered all of the required connections and added any fly leads for future connections, we heat the heat shrink to insulate our fresh solder joints. Finally, we wrap the entire harness in Tesa Tape to both loom and protect our new harness!

Then we proceed to remove the factory radio, route our Bluetooth microphone, mount our new dash kit, and lastly the radio. Before we give the vehicle back to the customer, we setup the clock, crossover/audio settings, test all of the features, and pair their phone with the new system!
